Catering at Hagbourne CE Primary School is provided by Dolce. Please ensure that you've placed your child's lunch order via School Grid by 8.30am on the day that it is required. Payments for school lunches should also be paid via your online account.
Hagbourne is committed to providing meals for children needing special diets for medical and cultural reasons, where possible. Please let us know if your child requires a special diet.
If you're providing your child with a packed lunch, please ensure that the lunches are healthy – no sweets, fizzy drinks or juices.
Universal Infant Free School Meals
The universal infant free school meals policy, launched in September 2014, entitles every child in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 to a free lunch at school every day.
If you are not yet taking up this offer - or indeed if your child is in Years 3 - 6 and not having school lunches, you may be interested in reading this article from The Independent School Food Plan
Anaphylaxis
Ridgeway Education Trust has taken the stance not to have blanket ban of any particular allergen in our schools. This is because peanuts and tree nuts are only one of many allergens that could affect pupils, and no school could guarantee a truly allergen free environment for a child living with food allergy. We advocate instead for our schools to adopt a culture of allergy awareness and education. We have a duty of care to all staff and pupils, so need to have procedures and controls in place to minimise the risk of an allergic reaction occurring. All patients are different, and specific cases need specific advice, so a comprehensive care plan that accommodates the child’s needs should be developed with the input of parents, carers and medical professionals.
